This artist was a friend of a friend, and a fantastically referred client. Being like-minded in our artistry, it was easy to assemble this project as a team. The client had a great vision, mixing exotic styles and art, making the design process a smooth collaboration. The textures and colors were rich, and the home had the most glorious golden hour, during which everyone who visited took Instagram-worthy selfies. I used honed stone finishes, hammered pewter metals and hardware, and a mixture of velvet and leather fabrics. The curtains were left sheer and had a tousled look to add to the artist's flair, showcasing the amazing LA view and sunsets from the partially covered rooftop terrace.
