Manifesto Hotel - Baku, Azerbaijan
FOREIGN HOME.
Being that I am of Azerbaijani descent, Azerbaijan is my home at heart. On my recent travels there, I received the great honor of being asked to design a series of suites at a boutique hotel in Baku, one of the most glorious cities I have ever visited. The rooms had to be convertible, modular, and adaptive to a series of categories that the client and I decided on as use cases. This was a truly unique, one-of-a-kind design experience, and I was able to meet the design parameters while still keeping the theme classic and relative to the “old city” charm, and natural elements of Azerbaijan, sourcing local woods as the focal point.
