4 Bedroom House - Edgewater, NJ
CONNECTING WITH NATURE.
Bringing warmth, elegance, and sustainability to your home is easier if you take clues from nature. This house is located in a small community that predominantly features modern townhouses, with very few single-family homes still retaining their original character; therefore, for this house, I chose to create a cozy, French country-inspired ambiance rather than the traditional modern style that surrounds it. The horizontal movement of the blinds and wood elements creates a theme that I mimicked throughout the project. All of the art hanging on the walls is created by me to tie in pops of color and texture, while tying in the movement throughout the house. The interior palette includes mid wood tones, neutral wall colors, and burnt umber, orange, and denim accents, keeping with the natural theme. There is a chess seating area off the living room, including a green and dusty rose onyx stone chess set.
