FROM BAKU WITH LOVE.

I am half Ukrainian, half Azerbaijani. Although I love both cultures, my heart is drawn more deeply to the colors, rich textures, patterns, and depth of Azerbaijan's culture. I have visited Baku several times and fallen in love with it over and over again. The eccentric juxtaposition of the new and old cities is my favorite mix of architectural style. Mimicking this perfect balance, I designed a client’s multilevel townhome in Baku. Using rich local woods, deep colors, authentic prints, and rugs, and blending them with modern architectural elements, I was able to create simple yet deeply rich interiors. The traditional color is deep red pomegranate, which is incorporated throughout the whole interior either as focal pops of color or as the undertone.
